Leila Encourages Us To Voice Our Opinions In “Go On Young Soul”

Bay Area native Leila creates stunning classical and Jazz infused indie pop. The singer just released her debut album entitled Glass Highways and it is full of delicious songs about love, loss and coming of age. Leila’s latest single is entitled “Go On Young Soul”. The accompanying music video shows her going about her day in a pandemic plagued America and protests are seen in her local area. Thru the documentary style narrative, Leila impresses the importance of voting to make a change.

Leila herself is a jack of all trades, not only a musician, singer and songwriter, she is also a documentary film maker and a software engineer by day. Her debut album is rich sonically, poignant thematically and explores the stages of romantic loss. Produced by multi-instrumentalist Tim Carr, the music reminds me of a more modern Carole King.
