A Guide to Relaxing at Home This Winter

There can be a lot of stress during the Holidays. Maybe you’re in school and are worried about all your finals and exams. Maybe you’ve been having relationship issues or are going through a lonely holiday season. Or, maybe your kids are on winter break and they aren’t letting you get the relaxation you need to release tension from being at home more.  Whatever the case, there’s a lot that goes on as the year comes to an end that can have you feeling like you aren’t at peace.

We’ve got you covered with some helpful techniques or alternatives, such as CBD bud that can help you enjoy and relax this holiday season as you spend more time at home.

Why It’s So Important to Reduce Stress and Make Time to Unwind

If you constantly feel stress from about a million and one things, it can actually have really negative effects on your physical and mental health. Here’s why you need to take the time to reduce your stress as best as you can:

  • Stress can negatively affect your relationships. It can affect not only your love life, but relationships with other people, such as your family and friends. You might not make time to reach out to them or you might just lash out at them.
  • Stress can make you more irritable. This is another big one. No one likes someone who is always a grouch. It’s not your fault, as high stressful situations can actually make you a lot more irritable and hot-tempered.
  • Stress can cause damage to your heart. A lot of stress can actually damage the heart, as it is a muscle. Stress can wear this important down and increase your blood pressure and increases your chances of heart attack.
  • Stress can weaken your immune system. I’m sure you’ve heard of this a lot. This is because stressful situations can actually make your body think it’s in fight-or-flight mode and may put off the immune system.

Things You Can Do at Home to Relieve Stress

There are things you can do at home to unwind and de-stress. Here are some options you can try this winter season that doesn’t require you to go outside.

  1. Get comfortable and watch your favorite movie or T.V. show. This is probably what most people do anyway to relax, but you can elevate it by putting on your favorite winter pajamas, warming up some hot chocolate, and wrapping yourself up in cozy blankets.
  2. Take a relaxing warm bath. You can light up some candles, use your favorite bath bomb or bath salts, and run a warm or hot bath. It can really be nice to just relax and get away from the children or your family for a bit in your own spa right at home.
  3. Try cooking or baking. If you want to expand your cooking and baking skills, it’s a great opportunity to also reduce any stress. Your favorite meals or desserts can be made by you, and you’ll be proud of your delicious food that you made on your own.
  4. Meditate or do some yoga. You don’t need to take a yoga class. There are actually many videos online that teach you how to do so. Create a quiet or peaceful environment by lighting up some candles or doing it by a warm-lit chimney. You can even do it in the morning or at night while everyone is going to bed or is asleep. Try to take some deep breaths, close your eyes, and imagine yourself on vacation or on a beach.

Benefits of CBD Hemp Bud

CBD is popular for so many reasons. And, it’s really no wonder why CBD bud flowers have become extremely desirable all around the world. Let’s go over some of the main benefits of CBD and why you might just want to try it out.

Relaxation. As we already mentioned. This is one of the main reasons people enjoy CBD so much. It’s a great recreational activity or perfect for those who just need some time for themselves. You’ll be feeling a lot calmer and that means less stress for you.

Anxiety. About 60 percent (or more) of people who use CBD say they use it for anxiety. So many people suffer from anxiety, whether it is chronic or infrequent. This is probably due to the fact that it acts on the brain’s receptors when it comes to serotonin, making you feel a bit more regulated and uplifted in mood.

Pain. Another popular reason for its use is that it has some analgesic properties. Our bodies have an endocannabinoid system, also referred to as ECS, and CBD can actually impact and bind to these neurotransmitters which can help reduce pain and inflammation. Many people with arthritis, back pain, and other chronic pain like CBD because of the relief they feel at higher doses.

Although there are many other benefits, these are the most common ones. However, there still needs to be further study on other benefits it may provide.

Is CBD legal in the U.S.?

This is one question that gets asked a lot. Is CBD legal in all states? The answer is yes, but there are specific guidelines that have to be followed in order for it to be legal. The first is that CBD must be derived from hemp. The second is that the CBD must contain less than 0.3 percent THC. As long as the CBD you’re purchasing follows those two main guidelines, it is completely legal to use in all fifty states.

Other Ways to Enjoy CBD

There’s actually so many different ways to enjoy CBD products and you can easily find CBD buds online. If you’re looking for something that doesn’t have any psychoactive effects, well you’re in luck because most online vendors have CBD buds with no THC. When it comes to CBD bud, or flower, it does require you to use some type of device that needs to be heated, such as a pipe. This is because you inhale CBD bud. You can also roll them up with special paper that’s meant to be heated up as well.

Another popular method of use is through e-cigs or vape pens. Recently though, they have gotten a bad name in the industry. Most offer them in fruity flavors and you can still buy them online. You’ll typically need a CBD cartridge or CBD vape juice/oil to insert inside the pens. But, so many people like to take the CBD oil directly in their mouth, sublingually. It’s high potency and ease of use with a dropper make it one of the most bought CBD items on the market.

CBD wax is another option that is along the lines of the above in terms of having to heat it up and inhale it. You apply the wax into a pipe and heat it up that way. Some people even use wax syringes for easier application. However, these often require a bit more items and a little more time consuming when comparing it to the CBD vape juice.

If you’re really not into inhaling anything or don’t want to buy the extra tools, a great option for you would be CBD capsules. These are probably one of the most popular items (besides the oils) because they are not only flavorless, but super easy and fast to use. You simply take the recommended amount, and it starts to work fairly quickly. It provides great effects and not to mention, it’s mess-free too.

For those with a sweet tooth, there’s something for you as well. CBD gummies and edibles are really fun. They taste just like gummy candies all while providing you great benefits. You’ll have to be sure to limit yourself and try not eat the entire bag!
