Red Bull Batalla De Los Gallos Releases The 2020 Official Anthem ‘Imparables’

The 16 MCs recorded the anthem in the Dominican Republic prior to the 2020 International Final

Fans can tune in to a listening party tonight at 10pm CET on Twitch which will feature a discussion on the recording experience “Imparables” will be available on all digital platforms starting today

Today, Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos releases the official anthem of the World Final 2020. The anthem, “Imparables,” was recorded in the Batalla bubble last year just before the series’ International Final on December 12^th in the Dominican Republic. Featuring bars from all 16 MCs that competed in the Finals, each contributed their best verses over an incredible beat crafted by Argentinean producer Mykka. “Imparables” is available on all digital streaming platforms now.

The most important Spanish-language freestyle competition around, Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos made its International Final possible on a completely virtual stage- a first for a rap competition. The final was won by Mexican rapper Rapder who delivered the ultimate mic drop to become the winner of the 2020 edition, while US National Final winner Yartzi advanced to the Quarterfinals before being eliminated by Rapdar.

Just ahead of the December 2020 final, the top 16 MCs and all of the involved production stayed together in a hotel to form an NBA-style bubble and ensure the safety of all involved. With this undertaking, Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos proved that freestyle is truly unstoppable or in Spanish, “imparable,” as the anthem’s title suggests. Thanks to the bubble format, the Batalla MCs were able to continue the tradition of coming together to record the end-of-season anthem.

The release of the 2020 anthem marks the beginning of the 2021 Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos season; Details for this year’s competition will be announced soon.

“Imparables” is an inspiring song that precisely captures the moment it was created: full of intensity, energy and with surprises throughout. Mykka, the Argentinean producer known for her work on songs like Khea’s “Loca,” as well as last year’s Batalla anthem, “CAMALEÓN”created the beat and then asked each of the 16 participating MCs to contribute a verse touching on their skill, experience, and freestyle in general. “Imparables” opens with Skone and his characteristic cadence, before featuring 2020 champ Rapder rap about his perseverance, Tata and his distinct singing, Yartzi, the back-to-back US champion from Puerto Rico, and his bilingual verse, Elevn with his breakneck speed and more; “Imparables” marks the beginning of the 2021 Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos season with excitement and optimism.

Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos will celebrate the release of “Imparables” and the new season ahead with a virtual listening party on Twitch tonight. The hour-long show will be hosted by Tess La and FJ. The virtual event will also feature check-ins with various participants and performers as well including Mykka, Rapder, Yartzi, Éxodo Lirical, Bnet, Acertijo, Elevn, Naicen and more.
