Nelly’s Back In Dallas, TX

It’s gettin hot in herre!

At least that’s what the crowd was saying as it packed itself full for Nelly’s SOLD OUT show in Dallas, TX on May 5th, 2021.

The last time we saw Nelly perform at The Lava Cantina the audience was strategically placed at small tables socially distanced from one another at minimum capacity due to COVID-19 – but not this time! This go around the house was packed, the vibes were immaculate, and one of the greatest artists of all time was welcomed back to the stage with open arms and roaring voices.

The energy started high and only went up from there as Dallas Cowboys’ very own DJSC warmed everyone up with his perfect mashup of mixes he loves to spin out. Seriously, he is one of the best! In combo with DJ Que, they hyped up the party people that were eager to embrace the sweet familiarity of sweaty crowds and blaring music pre-pandemic.

When Nelly showed up the crowd went WILD! How could they not?! I’ve covered his show 3 times now and it just gets better EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. His love for performing is infectious – you can’t help but catch the wave and fall in love with every song, every dance move, every smile. With each chorus the audience screamed with nostalgia, the understanding that we are all so fortunate to continue life as before and be free in our health and no longer restrained to isolation in our homes grew bigger and bigger. The bond between the crowd and the performers seemed stronger than ever before. A new appreciation for each other has arisen, and I think it’s exactly what we’ve needed in these trying times.

When it comes to an unforgettable performance, no one does it like Nelly. Each moment of each show he puts on feels like he is having the absolute best time of his life. Hit after hit fills you with euphoria and you can’t help but smile as big as he is the entire time he’s on stage. His range of music and his powerful voice remind you that he has been creating and producing the soundtrack of our lives for a very long time, and it doesn’t look like he’s stopping any time soon. His recent single “Lil Bit” is a fun and sexy country jam with Florida Georgia Line and even the hip-hoppiest music lovers can’t help but bop to a little bit of cowboy music when it starts to play. (Hi, that would be me.)

As Nelly continues to shine and flex his wide variety of talents, we stay on our toes with excitement and anticipation to see what he’s going to wow us with next.
