Live Session With Jaylen Barron From the Starz Network’s Drama Series ‘Blindspotting’

I had a great conversation with Blindspotting star Jaylen Barron for this segment of Live Sessions. Barron stars as Trish in the highly-anticipated STARZ drama series, which is based on the film of the same name. The story follows Ashley as she navigates life without her longtime partner Miles, who is currently incarcerated, and the challenges she faces when she is forced to move in with his family. Trish is Miles’ younger half-sister who may be wilder than he is. The cast also includes Helen Hunt, Jasmine Cephas-Jones reprising her role as Ashley, Rafael Casal, and Benjamin Earl Turner to name a few.

Barron is best known for her starring role as Zoe in the Emmy Award-winning series Free Rein, where she was the first American person of color to play the lead in a Netflix Children’s series. Barron is no stranger to the small screen either, her big break came when she recurred on the hit show Shameless. Barron also recently guest-starred on the new season of 9-1-1. With her impressive resume, she has built a large and loyal social media fan base on all of the platforms!

A triple threat: On-screen actress, voice-over actress and entrepreneur, Barron is a serious role model for this generation.
