Meet Urban Model Kimmora Marose

From the outside looking in, who is Kimmora Marose the model?

Kimmora Marose is my alter ego , she’s fierce and bold . She’s very bougie and she doesn’t care what others think about her . She loves her body and is very sweet and humble . She kills the scene each time she pops out!

What was the defining moment that brought you to the world of modeling?

What brought me to modeling basically I was on one of my friends mix tape covers and the doctor asked me did I model and he told me to try it out and gave me his business card. I honestly wanted to be a lawyer, but then as I got older, I just took it in consideration. Like I was asked did I model in 2009 but I didn’t get serious until 2012 and when I was younger, I had a lot of no’s and you’re too young or you’re so skinny had a lot of negative things said to me but I just kept going because I’m stubborn and I hate hearing the word no, so I was featured in my first magazine is June 2012 in Stardom 101 magazine as an aspiring model. And from that feature on I started getting different features online and then print magazines tear sheet features and more. I didn’t stop until I had a major gap in my personal life but I realize that modeling is my passion and after I had got my first cover in 2015, I lost my first child and I took a pause on it and everybody was asking me like why don’t you model anymore, are you going to get back into it and I just took some time and became a wife and a mother went down that phase and I just thank God for the strength that he gave me so December 2020 I met up with the new photographer from Live Bold Productions and he asked me to be his muse and that’s when I just decided to go back in and push through and go all the way in.

What do you hope to achieve as an urban model?

What so I hope so achieve as an urban model, to be honest I say urban because I was told that I have too many tattoos so that I was considered urban model, but to be honest if I was to cover these tattoos with make up or if I wore more clothing at a show I could do editorial, I could do commercial I could do anything I put my mind to so I really just want people to know who I am with my passion, what I like doing. I want my face to be known everywhere I want to be in different music videos as like the models that’s in the videos, not even the dancers I like to dance but I’m more so of modeling.

What has been the highlight of your modeling career thus far?

My highlight of modeling so far was my cover issue in 2015. That right there showed me that I was worthy of being on a cover issue, that before the gap in my life started I was driving so hard and pushing myself so hard to do different shoots networking submitting pictures receiving feedback constructive criticism and that is made me go all in. Every time I look at that cover issue I say I’m going to win, I’m gonna keep going I’m not gonna give up regardless of me being a single mother, I got back in shape and I started working December 2020 was when I got back into it after my Christmas shoot and after that I was featured in New York Weekly and so forth.

Outside of modeling, what are your passions?

I honestly love to dance, it is really like a work out to me but it’s also relaxing. I also love to shop I am very much a shopaholic, I get it from my mother. But I always wanted to be a lawyer because I like to argue, I love to prove a point, I love to talk until I know I can shut you up with my facts , I actually took business law in high school so yeah I definitely wanted to be a lawyer growing up.
