S & P Clique “Dead Wrong”

S & P Clique or better known as “Spook and Poof” has made a huge name in Florida. Compared to many other artists on the scene, they bring a combination of authenticity, lyrics, and good times wherever they go… Creatively and figuratively. Editor of Hollywood Digest compared them to East Coast greats like Kodak Black, A$AP Rocky, and Waka Flocka. The HD editor claims S & P knocked the Island Boys back in the water.

“It’s a must-listen as it’s always a good up feeling vibe, so it will put you in a lit or uplifted mood. Also adding some relatable lyrics that express what we have gone through or done in life” –S & P Clique.

S & P Clique is known for the first hit “What’s the Move”, which garnered buzz around Lakeland, FL and in the Miami, FL region. Fans can catch S & P Clique dropping their next top charting hits. The music video for their latest single “Dead Wrong” has already generated thousands of views.

We sat down with the boys, check out their interview here:

Where were you born?

Buffalo NY, East Coast in the House!!! Now we travel all over..

When did you decide you were going to be in the music game?

By the age of 11 in elementary when I found out my friend used to write and showed me and at the time Eminem & Lil Wayne were my favorite artists.

Who were some of your musical influences growing up?

Eminem, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent & Soulja Boy.

Do you write your own lyrics?

Yes, of course…

How do you decide what song to record?

Either I find a rhythm that pops in my head and start adding words or I will come up with a line and just flow off wherever I am.

What was it like the first time you stepped into the studio?

It was a feeling like a kid in a candy store. I knew I was supposed to be there.

Who would you compare yourself to and why?

Can’t really compare as I’m making a new wave of trap mixed pop with a party feel. For the most part people would say Post Malone or Rae Sremmurd.

Why do you feel it’s important for people to hear your music?

It’s a must listen as it’s always a good up feeling vibe, so it will put you in a lit or uplifted mood. Also adding some relatable lyrics that express what we have gone through or done in life.

What’s the single you are currently promoting?

Dead Wrong is our newest single being promoted.

Have you met anyone famous and if so who?

Yes, I’ve met Tory Lanez, Steve Will Do It, Tyla Yahweh and Nav.

If you can do a collaboration who would be with and why?

I Would love to do a collab with Drake because to be valid you need a song with drake lol but fr he is very transitional and makes all types of music like S & P Clique

What advice do you have for inspiring artists?

Never give up! Try new ways and keep going. It won’t work out the 1st time but it will perfect you in the long run.

What is one thing you know now that you wish you knew when you first started?

Balance my networking and studio time. You can be the best at what you do but not knowing the person to get your stuff in front of the big people could make you lose hope.

What is your motto you live by or a quote that has stuck with you?

Stay true to yourself because at the end of the day people change and you have to stay focused on your goals.

How did you come up with the music?

I listen to beats for hours out of the day and like to find a specific sound and then start cooking up ideas, freestyling on the track to best find a fit.

What inspired you to write this song?

Just heard a hustler in me saying people need some motivation and a feeling to make them get up and go get it.

Did it have to do with a past experience or something you are going through now?

In this situation I was just working so hard and losing so much sleep so I felt a lil anger that if you get in my way of my work I might snap.

Why was it important to write this song?

It helped me release some stress at the time, also the feeling of completing it felt so amazing. Felt like I won a trophy!

Who was the producer on the track?

Zizi.

Did you have a co-writer?

No, me and poof write all our own lyrics.

Where did you record it at?

My home studio in our house.

What is one trick you use for keeping your vocal cords lubricated and to avoid losing your voice?

Hot tea & Honey.

When do you expect the song to be released?

The single released a month ago.

Is there anything out now that is comparable or similar?

I would say a couple tracks on my last album have that rough feel but not as much energy as this 1. Every song that’s next is always better in my opinion.

How can people keep up with you?
