Elzhi + Georgia Anne Muldrow Announce Joint Album Zhigeist Coming March 11th + Drop Single “Strangeland”.
With vivid flows radiating effortless complexity, Detroit rapper Elzhi is among the most masterful lyricists on the planet. The gifted emcee rose to fame as the youngest member of legendary group Slum Village, but has since graduated from prodigy to sensei, with a thriving solo career bolstered by several acclaimed projects, plus collaborations with artists like Westside Gunn, Royce Da 5’9″, Ghostface Killah, Conway, Danny Brown, Little Brother, and more. Georgia Anne Muldrow is a supremely talented musician, producer, and vocalist whose eclectic work blends elements of jazz, hip-hop, funk, soul, rock, and beyond. The prolific artist has released more than 20 albums, earned a Grammy nomination without a major label, and worked with Erykah Badu, Mos Def, Madlib, Bilal, Kool G Rap, Robert Glasper, and more.
Now, Elzhi and Georgia Anne Muldrow are announcing the collaborative album Zhigeist. Set for release on March 11th 2022, the project is the result of a genuine artist connection. “Georgia’s music is phenomenal,” says Elzhi. “Her natural aptitude is limitless when it comes to production and vocals. I wanted to translate what her music was communicating to me.” With the release of Zhigeist fast approaching, Elzhi and Georgia are also unveiling the first single “Strangeland“, complete with artwork by Ruff Mercy. A mesmerizing lyrical exhibition set to propulsive production, the track is now available on all digital outlets.
