boohooMAN Launches Third Skate Collaboration Fronted by Revered Skater, Boo Johnson

This March, boohooMAN launched their third skate collaboration fronted by the global favorite skater, Boo Johnson. After signing a 12-month deal with the brand and having already shot 2 highly successful campaigns, Boo Johnson will be partnering once again with boohooMAN to launch an entirely new concept known as the “Boo Johnson Skate Diaries”.

As Boo is a globally recognized ambassador for skate, over the next four drops, he will be sent “worldwide” to visit cities that have interesting and diverse skate communities, creating a very organic lo-fi journal of his travels. Boo will document his interactions with each different cultures and their people. The 29 year old is a long standing muse for the brand and has inspired not only a new category itself, but another new collection. He continues to embody skateboarding culture  and this time Boo is able to explore and incorporate the underground secrets of the different diversities. The collection is a mixture of tracksuits, sweaters and hoodies ranging from neutral colors to pastels. The oversized fit makes for ultimate comfort and a laid back style. A pop of skull graphics and graffiti adds to the skater aesthetic.

“My new boohooMan collection is so fire I love it. It’s my 3rd collection with boohooMan and we’ve been working together for a few years now. The team knows what we both like so it’s nice working together. I made this collection more simple and a bit more colorful. We also kept it skate wear to keep it tight with my lifestyle & the culture I surround myself with. We got some fire oversized denim pants, some fire vests of course and we had to do a few track suits as well. I’m really excited for the world to see what we created for them.” – Boo Johnson

Part one of the skate diaries took place in Jamaica and will be followed by South Korea and more.

“Jamaica has a very special place in my heart simply because I was born there. I have wanted to shoot an editorial there forever but I have waited for the right time. I was keen to try something different and send a pro skater to a country you wouldn’t expect to have embraced the lifestyle but when I spoke to Boo he was down so we diarised his experience and told his story. It was important to tell a real story that showcased Jamaica’s people and I think this editorial encapsulates that beautifully.” –  Cleveland Campbell, Head of Creative.

With price points and sizes ranging from $10 – $60, the collection will be available globally on www.boohooman.com.
