CRTFD Launches Gender Non-Binary SS22 Collection Inspired By Plant Medicine

CRTFD, the California lifestyle brand that espouses street, skate, hip-hop and counterculture, is proud to announce the launch of its SS22 ready-to-wear collection. The collection was designed by CRTFD’s creative director, Seti, who has been at the helm of every CRTFD collection since the brand’s inception in 2019. CRTFD’s SS22 collection pays homage to current street subculture while honoring the practice of plant medicine.

The gender non-binary collection features graphic prints, oversized silhouettes and earth tone hues as part of its SS22 collection. Drawing inspiration from esoteric symbols, the Californian urban hippie lifestyle and plant medicine, CRTFD’s most recent collection continues to honor the brand’s mission of disrupting the industry standard by creating mindful, responsibly produced products without sacrificing quality.

“My whole mission at CRTFD is to be disruptive. I want to create a better product for a better world, whether that product is a shirt or an experience,” said creative director, Seti. “We pride ourselves on our authenticity as a true plant medicine lifestyle brand.”

As a mission-driven company, Seti is committed to using only responsibly sourced materials for every CRTFD collection. The most recent collection implements the use of vintage and deadstock fabrics, as well as using recycled cotton and Better Cotton Initiative or BCI organic cotton.

“I look at CRTFD as more than a company, but as an ecosystem. Everything is connected in one way or another,” said Seti. “ Everything should support our ethos and help evolve and shine light on the culture we’re pushing forward.”

CRTFD subscribes to an organic farming system, which is a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. The focus of this growing method is to increase biodiversity, improve water cycles and increase a plant’s resilience to climate change. In addition to its ready-to-wear line, CRTFD produces goods such as flowers for dyeing, food, cannabis and other medicinal plant fermentation. Customers can find these products online on the company website or at CRTFD activations and limited-time pop-ups around the world.

CRTFD’s SS22 collection ranges between $58 to $330. The full CRTFD SS22 ready-to-wear lookbook is available upon request. The collection will be available online and at select retailers including Bodega, Wish, Xhibition, Feature, Social Status, Motivation, Extra Butter, Fresh Rags, and Lapstone & Hammer.
