Who Is TedyP? Well Meet Jeshua “TedyP” Williams the Producer

The 2022 Grammy Nominated and BMI songwriter of the year awardee, Jeshua TedyP Williams, is known for his work within the Gospel, R&B, and Hip Hop world. Producer extraordinaire, has worked with the likes of Pharrell and Jermaine Dupri to Mali Music and Kierra Sheard. Versatile in every facet of this industry, he has proven to possess the creative sound that the artist can bet on. TedyP’s resume also includes BMI, Gospel, Hip Hop, and S&M Trailblazer awards, IRAA Producer of the Year Award as well as a 4 x Stellar Award Nominations, and countless #1 Billboards. When he’s not working with talents such as K. Michelle, and Detrick Haddon, you can find him grooming and mentoring young independent artist as he takes them to the next level.
A graduate from Southern University, with a double major in Music Education and Performance, he led the Human Juke Box’s Tuba section to numerous victories during the Battle of the Bands! After completion of studies, he received a major publishing deal where he produced records for executive Andre Harrell’s R&B group Hamilton Park. History made, as the label’s first signed producer in 2010, he’d continue his path of success in Atlanta while working with the top artists that you hear on the radio today.

When he is not producing, you can find him putting his degree to use as he provides free online tutorials and Ted Talks on his various social media platforms. During this time, he dives into the art of creation while explaining what went into the making of some of the hottest musical melodies you hear on the radio. This Baton Rouge, LA. Native is known for his work ethic and providing a world class experience for those he works with. His love for God is apparent in his humble nature and the anointing you hear through the musical notes he creates.

Hype Magazine: So TedyP, What is it like to work with greats on the Mainstream and Gospel side?

First, I’m honored just to be a part of this whole creative experience. To be able to work with people I admired while growing up, and to provide guidance and direction, as we collectively create, is humbling. One of the things I notice as I began to get to know them more on a personal level, is that they experience life the same as we do but sometimes just through a different lens.

Hype Magazine: What are some of your most memorable moments as a producer and songwriter?

The first time I worked with Kelontae Gavin, I actually dreamt about the song before we even got in the studio. In this dream, I saw him singing in an amphitheater in front of thousands of people. It was surreal!! So I took that same song I dreamt about, and Kelontae and I turned it into a reality. Can you say #1 Billboard!

Hype Magazine: From the Grammy’s to the pages of the Cosmopolitan, how did a producer like yourself get into modeling?

It’s funny you should ask. Short story! One of the amazing artists I work with, Keyondra and her sister Kimberly Lockett started their very own clothing line called Jolie Noir. With us being cool, she asked me to model. So I was like a bet! Count me in! Through the grace of God, Cosmopolitan Magazine did some research on their company and ranked it #2 out of #100 Top Black Business across the Nation. As a matter of fact, their apparel that I’m wearing now can be found in all Target stores across the country! God is definitely good!

Hype Magazine: What do you plan for the rest of 2022?

My goal is to help the artist I work with to collectively get at least 12 #1 Billboards. In addition, I’m also working on a Broadway musical with Brian Jordan Jr. Titled “Different World”. So, I’m definitely praying for a big year!

Wow! I don’t know. I’ve just been blessed to work with Q. Parker and so many other amazing people throughout my career. So now… I’m just looking to discover that next diamond in the rough so I can help them get to that next level! Basically, I’m a real guy who loves working with people and creating music!
