Kah-Lo Releases New Single ‘Drag Me Out’

Nigerian born, New York based singer and Grammy nominated artist Kah-Lo today releases her new single, the ultimate night-out anthem ‘Drag Me Out’ out now via Epic Records.

Drawing on influences from living in Lagos, London, and New York, Kah-Lo skillfully blends groovy house basslines, punchy drum kicks, and infectious lyrics to deliver the pre-party soundtrack of 2022. Kah-Lo’s global dance pop appeal rings true on the new track and brings out the best of her ‘life of the party’ persona.

Discussing the inspiration behind the track, Kah-Lo says “I’m usually the last one standing at a great party, so ‘Drag Me Out’ is an actual account of how nights like those typically go for me. It’s my very own recklessness anthem.”

Kah-Lo first emerged on the scene in 2016 with guest vocals on Riton’s “Rinse & Repeat,” which earned her the Grammy nomination for ‘Best Dance Recording’. Kah-Lo dropped her solo debut single “Fasta” in 2017, sitting at the crown of the BBC Radio 1 Dance charts for five weeks. By 2018, Kah-Lo dropped the infectious “Fake I.D.” which became the lead song for the U.S. arrival of TikTok racking up millions of streams.

Her impressive list of collaborations includes Idris Elba on “Ballie” and Selena Gomez on the “Back To You Remix,”. Her features on Diplo’s “Give Dem,” alongside the rhythmic “Melanin” with Michael Brun have also further crystallized Kah-Lo’s consistent track record for bringing the best out of any song she touches.

‘Drag Me Out’ marks Kah-Lo’s first release since her solo debut EP The Arrival, a seamless fusion of wild rhythms, dance floor-ready beats, and skyscraping hooks. The EP shows Kah-Lo venturing into various musical territories, experimenting with new sounds and captivating melodies, showing her personal growth as a breakthrough artist well beyond the dance music space.

Kah-Lo invites you along for the ride to a wild night with her on ‘Drag Me Out’, available on all streaming platforms on Friday, March 11th.
