Meet Poetiq: Singer-Songwriter Rapper & Musician
Jimia Warren was born January 17, 1989 in St. Louis, MO. She adopted the Artist name of Poetiq due to her style, and form of expression. Poetiq has been an artist since the young age of seven. She began with writing poetry, and later playing Alto-saxophone, piano, and other instruments throughout adolescence. Poetiq as an independent artist has released nine self-produced, and mastered projects all available on major DSPs. She is the owner of Real Poetiq Entertainment, two recording studios, and believes in the power of her Community’s artistry as well her own. She’s shown herself to be an entertainer, with performances to include Miami, Atlanta, Toronto, and more, all while curating events in St. Louis is giving artists, professional opportunities showcase their work. Poetiq is known in her hometown as the all-around artist.
On stage, she fuses hip hop and sax with various styles of music, weaving from tongue-twisting rhymes, to saxophone solo, to singing melodies smoothly, and then breaks down into poetry with ease. She captures the audience, marking the stage home with every performance. Poetiq has been quoted “A lover of all things music” and it’s apparent in her passion. The “Lady with the horn”, Singer-Songwriter, rapper, musician, entertainer, producer, and engineer is Poetiq.
