West Coast Legends Pass Torch To Dezzy Hollow In G-funk Fusion Album “One Nation Under The Funk”

Dezzy Hollow delivers an album dripped in West Coast royalty in “One Nation Under the Funk,” which features the OG WC (Dub-C), Chicano legend Lil Rob, rhythmic wizard Suga Free, Texan hitmaker Baby Bash, and buzzing rap group Blue Bucks Clan.

With an unmatched work ethic and penchant for consistency, Dezzy releases “One Nation Under the Funk” after the success of  “Can U Handle the Funk,” his 2020 EP that included the standout track “Won’t Do,” which boasts over 1.1 million views on YouTube. Both projects were released via his independent record label and brand MadStrange.
Last year, he released videos for “I Got Luv (Feat. Lil Rob)” that has surpassed half a million views and an animated video for a collaboration with Latin American rappers Alemán & C.R.O. titled “Shoulders” reaching over 200k views. In addition, Dezzy dropped videos for two records – “Bounce (Feat. W.C.),” which appears on the album, and “Play.”
Born and raised in Oceanside, California, Dezzy grew up under the influence of his Mexican-American and Pacific Islander heritage combined with that of West Coast hip-hop and G-Funk, which now flawlessly blends and reflects in his work. A fifteen-track project, “One Nation Under the Funk” has been carefully crafted to include the perfect fusion of old-school beats with new-school hip-hop, combining the sounds of generations. The leading singles “Bounce” (featuring WC) and “Creep It” (featuring KP), excellently foreshadow what’s to be expected of the album – from a laid-back, cruising-in-a-lowrider feel that “Bounce” provides, to the smooth nostalgia carried through in “Creep It.”
With an already impressive preview and a star-studded list of features, Dezzy Hollow breaks expectations on this much-anticipated album. A ‘cruise in your car and no need to press skip’ triumph, “One Nation Under The Funk” is undoubtedly another crowning jewel in Dezzy Hollow’s already spectacular repertoire. Full track list below:
