1:1 LeBron James Trading Card Could Break Records for Most Valuable Card Ever Sold

TONIGHT: A one-of-a-kind LeBron James trading card – known as the “Triple Logoman” – could soon become the most valuable card ever sold. The card will go up for auction on June 8 through leading collectibles marketplace Goldin, which was exclusively selected to handle the sale. Widely considered one of the most desirable modern collectible items in existence, the card will challenge the record of $6.6 million paid for a Honus Wagner T-206 card, one of the most famous trading cards in the world.

Earlier this month, this singular card was discovered during a live event on social media in what many are calling the greatest on-camera card pull of all time. The card was found after a year-long hunt that captivated the hobby and saw every serious collector searching in hopes of finding this coveted item. The search for the card even included megastar rapper and card collector Drake, who purchased 10 cases of cards at significant expense in an unsuccessful attempt to find it. The card uniquely features three NBA logo patches taken from jerseys worn by LeBron over the years and includes a patch from his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat, and his current team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

In addition to the LeBron James trading card, which could sell for more than $6 million, items from Jackie Robinson, Michal Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and several rare and highly-valuable trading cards will be on display.
