EAST COAST VIDE OUT NOW

Today, 3x Grammy Award-winning producer Hit-Boy has released his highly-anticipated single “Corsa” featuring Dom Kennedy on digital streaming platforms. From the West Coast with love, the California-bred beatmaker comes from behind the boards to effortlessly sway between braggadocious rap and tough-talk directed at his haters.

Following the release of the West Coast video last week (watch HERE), Hit-Boy treats fans to the East Coast visualizer. Taking place in Brooklyn, NY, the visual is directed by Thirdeyeraz.

Produced by Hit-Boy himself, “Corsa” is the perfect track to get sturdy to. With breathy delivery, Dom Kennedy maneuvers on the beat with an unyielding intention: to disrupt the drill scene in the most player way possible. The NY influence is undeniable, finding the pair of MCs embracing cultural nuances over a drill-inspired beat. From bodegas to dance battles at inner-city parks, everything about “Corsa” feels like summer upstate.

Taking his iconic sound to new heights, Hit-Boy initially teased the record during his ‘Sway in the Morning’ interview last month. Coinciding with the release of his new single, the multi-hyphenate super producer has partnered with UnitedMasters, the “record label in your pocket” for independent artists, to launch Beat Exchange, a curated marketplace to buy and sell beats.

About Hit-Boy:

As one of the music industry’s most sought out hip-hop producers, the California-bred Hit-Boy has more than earned his moniker. Born Chauncey Hollis, the 34-year-old, 3x GRAMMY Award-winning multi-hyphenate artist from Pasadena and the neighboring Inland Empire, boasts an impressive roster of credits, from wielding pop smashes for Beyoncé, Rihanna and Ariana Grande to producing hit records for Jay-Z, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and more over his thirteen plus years in the industry. As a rapper and songwriter in his own right, Hit-Boy has recorded and released seven mixtapes and three collaborative albums. Recently earning a GRAMMY for Nas’ King’s Disease (Hit served as an executive producer on the ‘Best Rap Album’), the super producer has earned his first-time GRAMMY nomination for the ‘Producer of the Year’ category. He has racked up several additional accolades, including ‘Producer of the Year’ at the 2021 and 2020 BET Hip-Hop Awards, ‘Producer of the Year’ at the XXL Awards, ‘Outstanding Producer of the Year’ at the 2021 NAACP Image Awards and Complex’s ‘Best Hip-Hop Producer Alive’ of 2020. He recently served as executive producer for Nas’ King’s Disease (GRAMMY winner) and King’s Disease II, Big Sean’s Detroit 2 (debuted No. 1 on the Billboard 200) and Benny the Butcher’s Burden of Proof.

About Dom Kennedy:

Born in Los Angeles, CA, Dom Kennedy is an artist with a fiercely independent streak. With a style that pairs simple lyricism with a knack for narration, Kennedy took inspiration from rap legends such as DJ Quick, Tupac, and the Notorious B.I.G. Kennedy made his debut in 2008 with “25th Hour”, “From The Westside With Love” in 2010, and “The Original Dom Kennedy” in 2011. By this point, he had begun touring across the U.S. and internationally, playing a show in Djibouti, Africa. Not being able to find a fair deal to suit him, the talented MC instead started his own label, The OPM Company (Other People’s Money), which he has used to release his own albums as well as for others. “From the Westside With Love II”arrived in 2011 and was a success, hitting the top 100 of the Billboard 200 Album Chart. Kennedy shortly after released “The Yellow Album” with the lead single “My Type Of party”, this mixtape is regarded as an all time favorite worldwide. From Kennedy himself, “my music has always been about evolution, results may vary but I have tried to remain responsible to what I was feeling at the time. I wouldn’t have lasted any amount of time without the fans so I thank them. OPM till it’s over.”
