Meet Evangelist Chris King Rocking for the Kingdom
Evangelist Chris King was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and began Preaching at age nine. He assumed his first pastorate at age eleven and today, Evangelist King serves as an evangelist of the Lord’s Church. Headquartered in the
Tuscaloosa, King Ministries International spreads the gospel. Many have said that Evangelist King, “Preaches the TRUTH with the FIRE of the Word!” He is one of the nation’s most recognized youth ministers and anointed evangelist’s today.
Evangelist King is the founder and president of Chris King Ministries, Greater Expectations Ministries and the Truth Broadcast Media Ministries that encompass weekly national Internet and radio broadcasts and ministry crusades. Currently, more than 10 million homes have access to The Truth Broadcast” which broadcasts throughout North
America, Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East through the internet. In addition, nearly 10,000 people have been ministered to via services & crusades within the past 20 years. Evangelist King is also a known gospel radio personality at WTSK 790 AM & 92.9 WTUG-FM & Mix 107.3 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Evangelist King also hosts an Annual youth & revival conference that draws in excess hundreds of people to Tuscaloosa each year.
A central focus for Evangelist King’s work throughout North America as well as internationally revolves around the unique challenges and needs of Today’s youth. He provides a powerful exhortation to young people by saying, “Time and Again, we tell our young people what they cannot do. ‘You can’t do this and you can’t do That. ‘ It’s time that we start telling our young people what they can do. They can be Accepted as they are. They can live lives of purpose and destiny. They can find Trustworthy friendships and relationships. They can remove themselves from the pain And the disappointment of their past. They can be free from drugs. They can be hopeful for their future and as the Church we have the answer for them in the person of Jesus Christ.” And he also encourages them to make Jesus # 1 in their lives. Throughout North America and around the world, Evangelist King and his team are targeting Strategic metropolitan centers. King has been through many experiences that he encourages other Christians and youth not to go through as uses those experiences to Convey God’s message of hope.
REACHING THE WORLD Evangelist King passionately believes that the Word of God is a key to reaching a generation and to Unifying communities, cities, and nations. Evangelist King has also recently entered into Partnership with Gospel Grind Radio to help spread the Gospel around the World! Minister Chris King also started a campus bible study at Troy University on Wednesdays In conjunction with Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity, Inc. EVANGELIST KING BEHIND THE SCENES Evangelist King recently celebrated 25 years of ministry unto his Lord. He was called and sent on September 29,1993. He has held membership at Daystar Family Church (formerly Daystar Assembly of God), Disciples of Christ Church and Temple of Christ Church, Macedonia House of Refuge Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. King is known as one of the most nationally recognized and famed youth Ministers today in the United States. King holds many national, state, and local awards such as the National President Silver Education Award 1996 by President Bill Clinton, other awards from the Tuscaloosa City Board of Education, Skills USA VICA and ASPA, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Lambda Pi ETA, NAACP, NABJ, CHSE, Balfour and WCHS-TV and Trojan Vision News.
Minister King also was highlighted in The Tuscaloosa News, recognized by the Tuscaloosa City School System and the city of Tuscaloosa, State of Alabama, and the southeast. Chris graduated from Central High School East in May 2003 and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism/Marketing and Advertising from Troy University in 2007 and a Masters of Public Administration from Troy University in 2011. King served as the Digital Media Teacher in the Tuscaloosa City Schools from 2008-2014. He is a member of Gamma Phi Delta Christian Fraternity Inc. And he also works for Gospel Grind Radio in Tuscaloosa. He has worked for WTUG-FM/WTSK-AM and MIX 107.3 WMXB in Tuscaloosa and currently owns and programs Gospel Grind Radio! He hosts afternoons On Praise 93.3/790 WTSK weekdays 2-6pm. He is married to Selletta King of Tuscaloosa and the father of their beautiful three children. In his spare time, Evangelist King travels, exercises, and spends time with friends and family.
