After meeting a group of men from New York who nurtured the talent in him, he spent hours taking his music to the next level. The inspiration for “Despegó” came from hearing the hypnotic beat, as the lyrics flowed naturally afterwards. It was completed with a visual, set in Miami, where the boss’s wife falls under the charm of J Mado. He hopes to one day follow in the footsteps of trendsetters such as Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, and Jhay Cortez. J Mado hopes to collaborate with the icons one day, but until then is dedicated to elevating himself to a global level. J Mado makes it clear that the thing that makes him special is his desire to consistently evolve musically, even if that means getting behind the instruments themselves.
J Mado remains motivated by staying humble and reminding himself where he’s come from as well as where he’s going.
