Meet Up and Coming Film Producer Luc Stephen
Born in Haiti, and raised in Boston, before migrating to New York. Luc Stephen is a creator, writer, producer, and director who was introduced to production in 2007 with his role in BET’s series ‘American Gangster’. The following year he became a consultant on the show. In 2012 he started to really take things seriously and created his own production company called Second Chance Enterprises. He started self-educating himself by simply doing it. Working with friends and family to produce content. In 2016, he then produced his first movie series “Prey Before You Eat” then part 2, and shortly after “DIVIDED WE FALL” starring “Antwan Tanner” He also co-wrote an award-winning short film “CIRCLES” with Rap legend “Sweet Tee.”
In 2021 his career quickly began to pick up momentum, he was a Production Manager on “URBAN EATS AND TREATS” a Rip Michael’s show produced by Kevin Hart’s LOL Network. Right after that, he went on to produce a feature film, “BETTER THAN MY LAST,” starring Hassan Johnson. Also a Plug Network Original series called “7 Sins.” Luc states, “I love film, it’s my life, from when my feet hit the floor until I lay down to sleep”
Last but not least, he did the psychological thriller SIN, starring the award-winning academy actor, Louis Gossett Jr. Sean Nelson, and Markuann Smith with guest appearances from Rip Michaels. The movie SIN follows a substance-dependent single mother who is in a toxic relationship and must end it before it kills her. All these projects are slated for late 2022 and 2023
The future seems very bright for this up-and-coming producer. Luc says, “I stay motivated by setting my mind frame to stay humble and telling myself I’m just getting started”
A lot of his earlier work is being distributed by Dame Dash Studios, Homestead Ent, and Indie Rights, and can be seen on many top streaming networks. To date, Luc has worked in some form or capacity on 18 projects.
