Live Session with the award-winning multi-faceted Darrin Henson, a renowned actor, choreographer, director, producer, and author.
Darrin is an award-winning talent who has been successful in the entertainment industry for three decades! – Known for working with stars such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, NSYNC, Xscape, and Jagged Edge, and appearing on fan favorites like Soul Food, Stomp The Yard as well as his current shows The Family Business on BET+ and Double Cross. He also has a soon-to-be-released documentary which is in negotiations with major networks/ streaming services.
In this conversation, we covered the usual suspects like his journey and defining moment that brought him to the entertainment industry, it’s an interesting story that he evolved from his beginning as a young street dancer to choreographing some of the biggest names in entertainment to being that smokey eyed bad boy many met on Stomp the Yard…as you’ll see he has a bookcase full of curios which include his various awards like the MTV Moon Man and more. On his acting, I got him to delve into the why of what he does and how he looks to increase his presence BEHIND the camera and bring strong positive Black images to the screen. One of his drives is to use his knowledge, experience, and resources to continue opening doors for others to have vehicles to get their projects in front of audiences.
A man of strong faith, we also talked about his incredible t-shirt line Gods Billboards T Shirts, of which my favorite slogan is “I Am More Than Enough…I Approve This Message.”
