Super Producer NDawsonBeats Turns the Focus on His Artistry

Super producer and artist, NDawsonBeats recently signed a distribution deal with GTDIGITAL DISTRIBUTION /EMPIRE, dropped his single Sex Machine and announced his upcoming follow-up release “No Repos”. He’s a young lion on the move in earnest!

NDawsonBeats is also known for his talent as a producer and produced All the Money  for Birdman and Turk including the remix, and Curren$y’s Checkered Flag, which are just several highlights in his young career. His credits for creating music for others have expanded exponentially since I first met this young lion in 2015 at the Music Train competition in Dallas where I was a judge alongside industry stalwart Steve Lobel. While he’s got heavy credits, NDawsonBeats has decided to put his power behind himself and now applies his craft mainly to his own music which earned him the distribution deal with Empire.

NDawsonBeats is also known to wear an MPC necklace around his neck custom-made for him and is now a part of his image as much as big chains are for one of his musical inspirations, Slick Rick.

In a previous conversation, NDawsonBeats describes himself to me saying, I am a producer that had to find his lane. It wasn’t always easy. When you’re going through the curve, learning where your place is in your career, it’s very frustrating learning how to brand yourself and set yourself apart. I started wearing an MPC around my neck for a kicker to switch up my look and then at some point got a custom chain made of an MPC one thousand necklace. At every show, I have it on. So NDawson has turned into an image, and branding as far as good production and quality sound.

He goes on to tell us what brought him to music as a career, reflecting, When I was a child, same old song, I was born in Sacramento California around all the gangs. I started hanging out and my mom got worried so one day she asked me a specific question. “What do I have to do to keep you out of the streets?” I told her I wanted to be a producer so she refinanced her house and bought me the equipment. I was so into producing that it really kept me from all the other crazy activities my friends would get into like home invasion robberies, gang activity, and so on. There are 40 years of crips in my family; my mom wanted to break the curse starting with me. From the schoolyard to the home I was raised in on 29th Street Gardendale road and all I talked about was producing music.

Now here he is…living the dream

Stay tuned for much more exciting news from this young lion and connect with NDawsonBeats on Instagram @n.dawsonbeats
