Meet Michele Adams’s, Prisoner of Love Movie

The Hype Magazine had the pleasure of attending the premiere of Michele Adams’, Prisoner of Love.  With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the scent of love saturated the air.  Therefore, the question of how one would define love was posed to multiple red-carpet attendees.  This includes the cast of the film, executive producers, soundtrack curators, directors, and more.

There are truly two different types of people when determining the meaning of love. Actor Dustin Garrison and Mayor Beverly Jones defined true love as “being vulnerable with your person” and simply “having peace.”  Whereas others went on to define love as “heartbreak” proving just how subjective words can be when dealing with matters of the heart.  With that being said, which definitely feels true to you?

The indie film, Prisoner of Love, goes on to tell the story of multiple couples navigating love and learning the difference between commitment and captivity.  It poses audience members with the question of why being in a relationship is also referred to as being “cuffed.”  When should one stay in a relationship and when is it time to go?  Omar Gooding’s character in the film plays a role in determining this for one couple in particular throughout the story.  Subjects dealing with domestic violence, the use of therapy, and more are also touched on in the film, once again leaving viewers with the golden question.

How would YOU define love?  Be sure to check out Prisoner of Love and decide for yourself.
