The Rising Star Who is Sending Shockwaves Throughout Washington DC : JÅEL – Ibrahima Yansane
Nowadays, the phrase “rising star” is all too prevalent. Almost all upcoming musicians tend to adopt the moniker of a “rising star”. As a result, the significance of being labeled a “rising star” has somewhat depleted. However, if you look around hard enough, you may still find a few truly special musicians who are befitting of the term “rising star”. A name that quickly comes to mind is none other than the multifaceted Ibrahima Sory Yansane, best known by his stage name: JÅEL. The young man has carved out quite the legacy despite still being under the age of 30. He has excelled as a rapper, a model, an influencer, a designer and even as a philanthropist through his NFTs which are partially apportioned to charity.

JÅEL’s rich heritage is a major component of his musical dynamism and overall versatility. He is the product of West African parents who hail from Guinea. The combination of being brought up in Washington DC while having West African roots was instrumental in shaping the person JÅEL is today. His early passion for the creative arts was first apparent in elementary school where his artistic gifts captivated his teachers and fellow students. In the years that followed, he took up a position as a singer in his local church choir. It would be from that point onwards that his music talent truly ignited. As of today, JÅEL’s music has been played on several respected platforms, most notably 93.9 WKYS radio station. Equally as impressive are his music collaborations which include DC stars such as Manny Wellz, Karega Bailey and Bomani X among several others.
Besides lighting up the music world, JÅEL has been profoundly successful as a model. Some of his prominent features include household titles such as “New York Fashion Week”, “DC Fashion Week”, “Getty Images” and “Men’s Magazine”. In addition to all of this, JÅEL’s handiwork as a designer has also helped him garner a lot of attention. His designs were recently showcased in a book published by a widely respected thoracic heart surgeon. He even created the designer “star scrubs” which were used for the promotional rollout of the book. Despite being gifted in numerous disciplines, JÅEL’s primary focus remains firmly centered around his music career. He strongly believes that 2023 will be his breakout year. His assortment of gifts have all played a vital role in the way he records, designs and directs his music videos. Given his ambitious plans for this year, we are surely guaranteed to see some fireworks in 2023. It’s not very often that such a multifaceted “rising star” comes along but when they do, they don’t come much bigger and better than JÅEL.
