Rising Star Brenna Faith Takes the Music Scene by Storm with Debut EP “80’s Baby” on Indie 500 Records

A star of tomorrow is born today. This is Brenna Faith.

Brenna Faith is making her mark in the music industry with the release of her brilliant EP, “80’s Baby,” on Indie 500 Records. At just 20 years old, Brenna’s powerful voice delivers emotive and poetic lyrics that transcend her age, taking audiences on a journey from heartache and insecurity to independence and redemption.

Although geographically from Indiana, Brenna’s sound combines Euro new wave hooks with indie pop anthems of empowerment, creating a unique and captivating musical experience.

Brenna’s artistic journey began at the age of 12 when she found inspiration in her parents’ record collection. Records from 80s icons Tiffany and John Waite particularly resonated with her, leading her to start writing songs. Remarkably, she released her first EP at the age of 13 and even appeared on stage with Nelly and The Hallmark Channel. However, the following years were marked by dark and desperate times as Brenna witnessed her father, a Marine veteran, suffer from PTSD. Her father’s mantra to “never give up” became a guiding force for Brenna, who has experienced her own share of abuse and heartbreak in her young life.

Using music as a means of healing, Brenna channeled her negative energy into songwriting. After graduating high school, she fully committed herself to pursuing a career in music. It was during a performance of the National Anthem at an event honoring US military veterans that Brenna caught the attention of music manager David Highbaugh.

Fortuitously, Highbaugh had a brilliant idea. He enlisted the help of long-time friend and renowned record producer Marc Johnson to bring Brenna’s vision to life. David knew that Marc, along with his twin brother Eric Klee Johnson, had previously worked with 80s icons John Waite and Tiffany. Additionally, Marc has collaborated with artists like Chrisette Michele, whose record “Better” (Universal/Motown) received a GRAMMY nomination, as well as Rita Ora, Cut Copy, and Sublime with Rome.

Despite a rocky first encounter, Brenna and Marc’s collaboration resulted in the powerful 2020 single “One Day,” a song dedicated to victims and survivors of sexual assault. Since then, Brenna and Marc have formed a strong artistic partnership, which is showcased in Brenna Faith’s “80’s Baby” EP.

To ensure a successful launch for the “80’s Baby” EP, manager David Highbaugh partnered with music industry legend and Hype Magazine founder Dr. Jameelah Wilkerson to lead Brenna Faith’s marketing and PR strategy.

The first single, “80’s Baby,” is a sheer nostalgia trip custom-made for TikTok. Brenna explores a time when Polaroids, mixtapes, caller ID, and “dancing to Tiffany” were the norm. Her expressive vocals sit atop a bed of ear candy, featuring a signature synth melody against distorted guitars. The music video, directed by Josh Dage, is being serviced to all international outlets.

On the track “Outcast,” Brenna embraces individuality, celebrating the freedom to be alone and different. Analog synths swirl to an angular rhythm, creating a dynamic and captivating sonic experience.

“Moment’s Grasp” is a powerful ballad that showcases Brenna’s ability to wear her heart on her sleeve. With poignant lyrics that capture the unpredictability of love, Brenna’s heartfelt delivery strikes a balance between heartbreak and hope. The song is set against a dramatic backdrop of strings, harmonies, and acoustic guitars.

“Trip” serves as an indie dance anthem of independence, with Brenna proclaiming her intention to embark on a solo journey. Its infectious music would feel right at home at Coachella, capturing the spirit of freedom and self-discovery.

The EP concludes with a homage to Brenna’s original inspiration, as she covers John Waite’s Babys-era classic “Back on My Feet Again.”

Brenna Faith is the rising sensation in the American music scene, and she invites you to join her on a trip. Check out Brenna Faith’s EP “80’s Baby,” available now on Indie 500 Records.
