With these projects, Suga-T aims to shed light on the systemic challenges faced by Bay Area women who are true innovators in the genre and have played a significant role in shaping its sustainable aspects.

Speaking about the current state of Hip Hop, Dr. Suga-T firmly believes that the genre needs to mature. The numerous issues that have emerged surrounding the Hip Hop 50th-anniversary celebration demand attention and resolution. Suga-T advocates for a transformative shift in the industry, stating, “It’s obvious that maturity is not celebrated, which is foolish. Hip Hop needs a big momma, and I will be her… Period.”
