Lauryn Hill Announces Her International Tour with the Fugees Celebrating 25 Years of Her Solo Album

The iconic Ms. Lauryn Hill, has just announced her international tour celebrating years of her 1998 solo debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. During her US leg of the tour, the Fugees will be co-headling alongside her. During her Australian and New Zealand leg of the tour, Koffee will be hitting the stage.

This 17-city tour will hit some of the world’s largest stadiums beginning in September.

Citibank card users will have access to tickets via an exclusive pre-sale from August 22-24. General sale for the tour then began this past Friday, August 25.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is and was a love song to my parents, my family, my people, my musical and cultural forebears, my teachers, my loves, my Creator,” Hill says in a statement. “I wrote love songs and protest songs — (still love songs) about the subjects and interests that inspired and moved me. I was confident that what inspired me would resonate with an audience that had been led to believe that songs of that kind could only live in the past.”

Also, she went on to say “I loved music, I loved people, I truly felt grateful to God for my life, and genuinely blessed to have a platform where I could share wisdom and perspective through music. I felt a charge to challenge the idea that certain kinds of expression and/or certain kinds of people didn’t belong in certain places. I loved showing what could work or happen provided there was imagination, creativity, and LOVE leading the way.”

Previously, the Fugees had been scheduled to begin their The Score Anniversary Tour but ended up canceling the tour due to the pandemic.
