Philadelphia Honors Philanthropic Dynamo Nehemiah Davis with Street Naming Ceremony

The street naming included a back-to-school community celebration with the Nehemiah Davis Foundation hosting the 15th annual Back to School Extravaganza with free book bags, food, music, educational support, and exciting activities!

The City of Philadelphia paid tribute to Nehemiah Davis, a distinguished serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, speaker, and author, with a Street Naming Ceremony on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Against the backdrop of increased violence, crime, and killings in Philadelphia, the Back to School Extravaganza shone as a beacon of hope, uniting the community in a celebration of peace, hope, and positive energy.

The street where Davis grew up was officially renamed “Nehemiah Davis Way” in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the community. This momentous event was followed by the 15th Annual Back 2 School Extravaganza, a free community event presented by the Nehemiah Davis Foundation in partnership with Circle Of Greatness.

Nehemiah, a fellow Philadelphian and successful change agent, holds giving back to the community as a core value. For the past 15 years, he has dedicated his resources and time to improving the lives of children, single mothers, and low-income families. His commitment to servant leadership has led him to undertake numerous charitable initiatives, and the Basketball Court Reveal during the event exemplified the heartwarming dedication Nehemiah has to help revitalize his old neighborhood where he grew up and played on dilapidated courts.

During the Back to School Extravaganza, Davis unveiled a heartwarming transformation – the revitalization of his cherished West Philadelphia hometown basketball court, once dilapidated and unusable, now given new life and purpose.

At the Back to School Extravaganza, Davis also brought another extraordinary experience to the children in his community through a luxury and exotic car show!

This unique showcase aimed to inspire young minds, exposing them to the possibilities and opportunities that await them in life. By providing a glimpse into the world of luxury and success, Nehemiah hopes to ignite their imagination, encourage them to dream big, and pursue their ambitions fearlessly, ultimately crafting the incredible and successful life they desire.
