Curren$y Taps Fendi P, G Style, & Dominic Scott for New Single “Slide”

Jet Life Recordings founder Curren$y unleashed a new single “Slide” with fellow JetLife artists Fendi P, and G Style and vocalist Dominic Scott. The syrupy smooth track gives listeners a taste of what’s to expect with the JetLife Recordings compilation project Season Opener.

The debut release from Jet Life Recordings’ new compilation project Season Opener hit September 8 + off the back of Curren$y’s collaborative EP with Jermaine Dupri For Motivational Use Only and his project Vices with Harry Fraud

With “Slide”, Curren$y displays his signature New Orleans drawl on the jazzy mid-tempo beat. Longtime Jet Life collaborator Fendi P reps their city with a hard-hitting verse, while labelmate G Style brings his unique LA sound, and Dominic Scott holds it all together with silky smooth vocals. Curren$y serves as this team’s coach, while the other three artists are the MVPs, each bringing a key skillset to the track.

The Jet Life Recordings squad reunited on Season Opener, their newest compilation tape since Welcome to Jet Life Recordings 2 in 2021. This will be Curren$y’s third project this year, following For Motivational Use Only, a collaboration EP with GRAMMY Award-winning artist Jermaine Dupri that featured standout tracks “Off The Lot” featuring 2 Chainz and “Never Fall Off” (feat. T.I.), as well as Vices, a collaboration tape with renowned producer Harry Fraud.  With a new project out, it’s clear that Curren$y and the Jet Life team are ready to bring new heat out of New Orleans.

ABOUT CURREN$Y:

Curren$y (a.k.a. Spitta Andretti) has cemented his status as an underground legend with his prolific and consistent output. The New Orleans vet is known for his refined taste and a straightforward yet sharp pen that he never seems to put down. Since his debut album, This Ain’t No Mixtape back in 2009, Curren$y has released countless studio albums, mixtapes, and collaborative projects with hip-hop heavyweights, including Wiz Khalifa, Freddie Gibbs, The Alchemist, and Harry Fraud. He’s also the CEO of Jet Life — which houses his record label, an apparel company, a cannabis business, and a slew of other endeavors.

The rise to success was slow and steady for Curren$y — he got started in 2002 after signing with Master P’s No Limit Records, before joining Cash Money Records and Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment, and made it through struggles with various labels before starting his own label; Jet Life Recordings. Over the years, his smart lyrics would catch the attention of fans and other artists alike, and along with prolific output in the form of solo mixtapes, Curren$y had high-profile collaborations with Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Future, Freddie Gibbs, Rick Ross, 2Chainz and many others. Curren$y’s cult-like fan base, long-standing career, and adaptable flows have undoubtedly dubbed him as one of the king’s of the underground.
