Larussell Primes Fans For Upcoming Album With New Single

Indie rap giant LaRussell drops off his first single of 2024, pairing up with Grammy-winning producer Hit-Boy for “Another One.” The explosive track stacks LaRussell’s unbridled confidence atop boisterous production as he rattles off a laundry list of accomplishments.

Right out the gate, LaRussell offloads the flex of the year, “Live Nation gave me M’s to do my dougie on you hoes.” The track is jam-packed with bars that exude the confidence of a self-starter. In the video, LaRussell’s mustard-colored lyrics jump off the screen while Hit-Boy and his dad, Big Hit, play the backdrop.

“Another One” is a teaser from LaRussell’s 31st album, Rent Due. The project will officially hit DSPs on Sunday, February 25th; however, as a special treat to fans, LaRussell is partnering with EVEN once again to give people early access to his music. Starting today (Feb. 5), fans can stream Rent Due exclusively on EVEN before the rest of the world.

The Bay Area rapper first released on EVEN (a direct-to-consumer platform where artists can sell music to their fans) two years ago for his 21st album, I Hate When Life’s Going Great. He successfully drew in 12,000+ users – selling over 4,000 albums and generating a whopping $95K+ in revenue through the platform in just one week.

Alongside the new single, LaRussell and Hit-Boy are thrilled to announce their Rent Due Relief Program. The two emcees have partnered with EVEN to contribute 15K towards 15 different artists or business owners’ rent for the month of February. Participants will post a video of what they do for a living using the hashtag #RentDue and the audio for “Another One.” The winners will be selected on the 1st (March) and 15th (February).

Over the years, LaRussell has continued to place profit on the back burner for the sake of building a lasting legacy. His partnership with EVEN is attuned to the Pay-What-You-Want practice he’s known for, which means that fans get the chance to make an offer for what they think his album is worth.

Check out “Another One” above and stay tuned for more from LaRussell very soon.
