Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s SolarFest: A Celestial Celebration

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s SolarFest, a four-day extravaganza in honor of the Total Solar Eclipse, lit up Cleveland with star-studded appearances and celestial experiences. From Friday, April 5 to Monday, April 8, the Rock Hall welcomed a constellation of guests, including rock legends, sports icons, and media personalities, making it one of the most memorable weekends in its history.

Star Sightings

Among the luminaries gracing the event were Grandmaster Flash, a 2007 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, and Lol Tolhurst, of The Cure, who joined the Hall’s esteemed ranks in 2019. Also in attendance were Good Morning America hosts Robin Roberts and Whit Johnson, South Carolina Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley, and rising basketball star Caitlin Clark, along with the NCAA Women’s Final Four Teams.

Event Highlights

  • All NCAA Women’s Final Four teams rocked out in the Rock Hall’s Garage, with Caitlin Clark showcasing her drumming skills.
  • The iconic Grandmaster Flash took over the turntables for a DJ set during the Celestial Blast dance party.
  • Robin Roberts conducted a live interview with Dawn Staley on Good Morning America, following the South Carolina Gamecocks’ NCAA Tournament victory.
  • Lol Tolhurst made a special visit to the Rock Hall to witness the Total Solar Eclipse.
  • Visitors enjoyed a curated playlist synced to Monday’s eclipse, playing throughout the Museum and on Rock Boxes along E. 9th Street.

Expanded Operating Hours

Throughout SolarFest Weekend, the Rock Hall extended its operating hours from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, providing visitors with ample time to soak in the live music, celestial artifacts, family programming, and more.
