RYAN CASTRO, the leader of the new generation of Reggaeton, releases the first track from his upcoming debut album, “EL CANTANTE DEL GHETTO”. The salsa song, a tribute to Héctor Lavoe, is just the beginning of what Castro has in store. 

Ryan Castro’s upbringing in his humble neighborhood of Pedregal in Medellin, is what inspired his forthcoming studio album, and is set to fortify the purpose he’s kept strong throughout his career of embracing the streets, but overcoming its obstacles. The project will showcase his musical essence of dancehall, rap, and Reggaeton, all of which have shaped Castro to become the global hitmaker he is today. In addition, it includes the special salsa track out today on all platforms.

Throughout the last months, Ryan Castro has been sharing important details about his album via social media, providing hints to his fanbase as to what they can expect. Last night, the Medellin native officially unveiled the cover art which represents the culture of his hometown and the rise of his career, from street busking to global stardom.

Ryan Castro is fresh off the heels of performing as a surprise guest at Ludmilla’s Coachella set, which represents an extremely important milestone for his career and further consolidates his status in the U.S. Now, he gears up to perform at the 2024 edition of the Latin American Music Awards in Las Vegas, before the release of his highly anticipated first studio album “El Cantante Del Ghetto”.

RYAN CASTRO, dubbed as “El Cantante Del Ghetto” is an artist who has become the definition of overcoming challenges since his upbringing in the Pedregal neighborhood of Medellín, Colombia, where he would rap in public buses in order to help his family economically. Ryan Castro made his break in the music industry with his single “Morena” in 2017, followed by catapulting to international fame in 2021 with his hit single, “Mujeriego,” and later “Jordan,” which both entered the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl.
