Celebrity Designer Rachel Roy Brought Charity to the Catwalk

On Sunday, June 11, 2017 celebrity fashion designer Rachel Roy featured her designs in the Catwalk for Charity’s 4th Annual “Fashion Meets Philanthropy” event in Miami, FL that benefited Prodev Haiti School and the organization’s annual holiday toy drive. The evening’s Mistress and Master of Ceremony were ABC News Anchor/Reporter Calvin Hughes and Miss Universe First Runner-Up Raquel Pelissier.

Fashion designer Rachel Roy created her clothing collection in 2004. Since then her clothing designs have received global recognition, awards, and accolades. Rachel most recently known as a speaker on entrepreneurship and philanthropy, has shared her story across the world, including the White House. Rachel Roy also founded Kindness Is Always Fashionable, a philanthropic platform created to help artisans create sustainable income for their families and communities.

The event benefited Prodev Haiti Schools, an organization that provides approximately 10,000 children with access to quality education, as well as the Breakfast with Santa’s “Joy of Giving” an annual toy distribution that benefits over 5,000 children.
