Who is Fat Pimp? #OfficialHype

As you see your self, who is Fat Pimp?

Fat Pimp is the black sheep of Texas Rap music scene… I stand out from the typical sound you are used to hearing in the past.. I take pride in mixing the young and current sound with the original sound and that births “Fat Pimp Music” Pimp C, 2pac, biggie, lil boosie, Gerald Levert all mashed up into 1 icon

Tell us about your current project?

The current project we are pushing is a mixtape series known as KhaotikKhronikles branded by Dallas/NYC native Dj Khatoik of 979 Thebeat.. We decided it was time to bring the original essence of hiphop back by allowing the dj and artist to create the new sound and movement.. We did 13 original tracks with production from Jwhite DidIt, Mike Dub, ClassicMusik, and CuttaClassic from OKC.

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

It would have to be my sway in the morning interview in 2012.. I heard a lot of people from around the world calling in and saluting me on my music and wishing nothing but success in my future.. Lastly I would have to say its hearing a lot of artist who are on sounding like a lot my older music that’s always a sign your on the right path…

What makes you the next great happening?

It was a sign from GOD… I was ready to hang it up.. I prayed and ask for a sign while I was in LA and got signed 3 weeks later.. That’s the biggest sign for me to know I was destined to be the next great thing.. Plus Dallas hasn’t been represented right in a long time I feel its my job to become the big homie for my city.. Be a role model for the younger artist to look up to

Are your currently signed to a label or have any situation in the making?

Yes I am currently signed to California Based Label “Dirty Water Music” You see CKB Entertainment has been managing me for 3 years now and we’ve had a lot of offers and a lot of let downs.. Dirty water was the 1st to step up and believe in the vision me & my manager Rickey Booker had.. How many labels give artist total control? They have and this is where we plan to stay and focus on making a #1 record and sell a million records

Who and what are your influences?

My biggest influence is my pops.. I watch my father make a way for us when we had nothing… Taught me the meaning of hard work and dedication.. I was fortunate to grow up with him in my life he acted as a role model to my hood and all my peers.. Lastly I would give it up to Master P and Pimp C. Simply because they both from the south and was the only representation for us in the music business when it was east coast driven..

What should people expect from your upcoming 2016 projects?

Number 1 single after Number 1 single… I really want to focus on my outside business ventures… I’m working on creating my own liquor brand and we are starting “Dirty Water” clothing. The album #LifeAfterRackDaddy is still on the way but in the mean time we’re gonna push my single #UhOh and start this tour.

Is there anything you would like our readers to know?

I am working on my non-profit group #FatLuvDaKids where basically anything in the community that needs my help we are going to be active.. We recently did a turkey drive where we gave away 200 free meals to the less fortunate. I do mentoring at the local Boys and Girls clubs throughout the DFW. Back to school will be great also, we are organizing a free haircut event and school supply giveaway…

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…

After a show I had in Shreveport I had my shirt open and my belt unbuckled I was exhausted.. So we decided to stop at the Whataburger everybody goes to after the club.. Well I didn’t know that “sagging” was illegal out there and I was rushed my local police and threatened to get my ass whipped and dumped somewhere if I didn’t do what one of the cops said.. hmm ever since that day I keep my belt tight on my waist when im in the port… #WhereTheyDoThatAT
