Who is Rae Boujea? #OfficialHype

Rae Boujea born and raised in New York, NY….. At the early age of 9 she was placed in a group home and released at the age of 15 back out into the streets with no parental guidance. Rae did what she had to do to survive. A rocky relationship with her mother and never having met her father Rae found love by giving birth to her first child at an early age. We all know the struggles of a single mother with limited job skills and no man to help raise a child…. resulting in welfare to help feed her child and when times got hard and she was faced with the threat of being homeless, kicked out into the streets she made the decision to rise above her circumstance to keep her and her child from being without. Rae had to survive; she’s a fighter a strong willed person who believes in her faith in God….

Rae said if it wasn’t for God’s blessings that allowed her to meet a group of Bankers who took her under their wing and trained her to work on Wall Street in the stock market, she don’t know how her life would have turned out. She became an Underwriter for Investment Banking Institutions, transforming her life from a Rag to Riches story. Wall Street opened her eyes to the finer things in life such as designer clothes, expensive cars and lush pads. It ultimately gave her the drive and determination to want more and make no mistakes…. She got it! From the house on the water, to the hard top convertible and the Hermes Birkin bag. She’s a Boss Chic in her own right.

Her love for Hip Hop music since the Group Home days has everyone amazed with her raw energy and flow. The true life experience of being a young girl growing up with the whole world against you is channeled thru the lyrics of her songs. Rae represents the Power girl chic that’s in every woman waiting to break out. Rae has been busy in the studio working on her album with producer’s Rockwilder, D-Moet, The Heatmakerz, Ron Browz, and Farouk Jones to name a few. Her lyrics and her bands raw energy of live music over Hip Hop beats makes “Rae Dae” the passion, the life, the music, the movement!!!

As you see your self, who is Rae Boujea?

A quiet storm, a warrior, a boss chic, with a forceful & powerful drive to success. I often do what most people only think of I’m a risk taker by all means. I’m that truth in the booth, Rae represents the Power girl chic that’s in every woman waiting to break out. My lyrics & flow mixed with my bands raw energy of live music over Hip Hop beats makes “Rae Dae” the passion, the life, the music, the movement!!!

Tell us about your current project?

I’m currently working on my upcoming EP ” Rae Dae'” featuring my single ” I Got This” produced by D-Moet, the same producer that produced Nas (ft. Puff Daddy) 1999 hit ” Hate Me Now”, for me ” I Got This” brings me back to that 90″s sound that made me fall in love with Hip Hop. .

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

I would have to say the defining moment that made me feel this is the industry for me was when I auditioned for an upcoming reality show called ” The Writerz Rumble, a show based on song writers in the music business. When the executive producer for the show aired my audition on You Tube and Super Producer Rockwilder ask who is she… she’s real dope…. Mann I knew it was time to make my presence know.

What makes you the next great happening?

Well for one I’m Rare, there’s nothing out there like Rae Boujea. Once the world gets to know me, my story, my struggle and my come up…. I will be raps great hero. I love this music, I want to create an authentic piece of work where every song on the album has the potential to be a hit single… really give the fans their monies worth. I have an ear for music and a deep love for people… mixed with an amazing flow is a recipe for success.

Are your currently signed to a label or have any situation in the making?

Not currently sign to a label, but hope to be in the very near future. I believe in myself so much I literally wiped out my entire 401k retirement plan to get my music off the ground. I can’t lose, so somebody better sign this chick…. lol. I need a big machine behind me to take my music worldwide.

Who and what are your influences?

First and foremost I would have to say God is my biggest influence, he put this talent in me and gave my the confidence to be fearless, courageous and powerful in all things. Musically I would have to say Jay-Z, his whole approach to this game, his swag, his business mind & never give up attitude has proven to be a big success. I grew up listening to the likes of Lil Kim , Foxy Brown & Eve which were all major players in the game and super dope to me.

What should people expect from your upcoming 2016 projects?

FIRE

Is there anything you would like our readers to know?

I love this music, it comes straight from my heart. My love for the people is deep and I hope and pray that my music with inspire people. I come from nothing , but refuse to give up. My story is one that is relatable… I’m not seeking fame, merely expressing my story through my music in hopes to help someone anyone to keep on fighting and trust God in the process.
