Who is Young Retro? #OfficialHype

Born in Los Angeles, California Young Retro’s passion for music started at the age of eight. He began rapping at community events, talent shows, local shows, parks and recreation, and social gatherings. Young Retro wanted his music to make a difference in people everyday life. His inspirations growing up were Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Mase, Nas, and P.Diddy. In 2004, Young Retro recorded his first demo with the hit single “Pop shake it” featured on it. By age fourteen, Retro was introduced to Chicago’s Producer “Creator Chemist Valor” who helped launch his career. Young Retro also got the opportunity to feature in Lil Wayne’s “Prom Queen” music video in 2009. Today, He performed at larger venues such as Coast2Coast, The Knitting Factory, The Celebrity Center International, The State Capital of California, The LA Watts and Long Beach Festival opened up for Jayo Felony, and RJ signed to DJ Mustard. Young Retro been featured in multiple magazine all around the world. On top of everything, Young Retro received his Bachelors Degree in Business Management at Humboldt State University with an ultimate goal to start his own Record Label in the near future. Young Retro was born a legend he is the Face of hip-hop. Young Retro is one who leads and never follows. Young Retro is a natural when it comes to Lyrics and killing the stage. Young Retro is TheLastHope.

Tell us about your current project?

My current project is “FuckBeingAverage” also known as “FBA” it will be available everywhere January 12, 2016 I’m also doing a contest on my site www.youngretromusic.com the day my album so you don’t want to miss this.

What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?

The day I performed at Coast2coast in Hollywood and seen both Grammy Winning and Grammy Nominated producers rocking to my music while I’m rocking the stage and giving me high score during the showcase. I knew I was ready for this industry.

What makes you the next great happening?

Everything I do, the way I carry myself, it’s the swag, the style and most of all the music. It speaks for itself.

Are your currently signed to a label or have any situation in the making?

Something is always in the making I am not signed to a label I am an independent artist. I am looking for a major record deal with a major record label.

Who and what are your influences?

Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Nas, P.diddy, Kanye West, J Cole are my influences and wanting to get my point across through my music is what influences me. I want to be a role model to those

What should people expect from your upcoming 2016 projects?

A whole new young retro, a whole new side of me that I never showed the world, and young retro in full effect. My mixtapes sound like albums and my albums sounds like platinum’s.

Is there anything you would like our readers to know?

Yes I would like for them to stay tuned for my next project dropping this summer titled “ The Golden Ticket”. There will an unlimited amount of bangers.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…

It was during a studio session when I was working with a couple of friends on a track. So we writing and everything and once we finished writing our verse the homie like “ Lets spilt our 16 out loud” so we all ended up splitting the verse to each other before we recorded. The track came out a success and we agreed to work on another track the next day. The next day tell me why one of them straight stole a grip of my bars that I previous rap the day before and used it in a song with me the next day. Like did they not think I was gone catch it come on. My first reaction when I heard him spilt his verse and heard him bite my lyrics I thought to myself “ Where they do that at”
