Google Play offering music lovers ‘Elvis Presley: Elv1s 30 #1 Hits’ album free

You may be too young to remember Elvis and his long running domination of the small screen with hit movies like “Love Me Tender,” “Viva Las Vegas” (my favorite) or his cliff diver role in “Fun in Acapulco,” but one thing music lovers from all walks of life can acknowledge, the man made great music and put on one heck of a show.

Rockabilly, an uptempo amalgamation of Country Music and R&B, mostly attributed to the likes of Buddy Holly, also got a great push from the man most arguably known as “The King of Rock and Roll.”

Lastly, as we move from the analog age into the iGen or digital revolution, a little known fact is, Elvis was the star of the very first globally televised concert via satellite in 1973. Nope, satellite TV was NOT invented 10 years ago!!!
