Philthy Rich (ft. Sauce Twinz & Mozzy) “Feeling Rich Today”

After dropping two new videos last month, Philthy Rich returns with the video for “Feeling Rich Today.” ThePilot Industries-directed video finds Philthy Rich and friends flexing, flashing cash and showing off chains, watches and other valuables. The song features Philthy Rich riding a sinister piano-driven beat by Jrag, joined by Houston’s Sauce Twinz, who bring an absurd amount of energy to their hook and verses, and Rich’s California cohort Mozzy, whose laid-back, grounded, but still boastful verse contrasts the exuberance of the Sauce Twinz. “Feeling Rich Today” is a highlight from Philthy Rich’s Rich N*ggas Back in $tyle, which is currently available for purchase on iTunes.

In the February 26th album premiere of Real N*ggas Back In $tyle, Mass Appeal stated, “With a decade-long career, ties to his region’s old guard, and a clever affection for delivery surrounded by repetitive earworm hooks, Philthy’s grown from a Mac Dre-affiliate into a venerable heavyweight of the Yay Area revival sound.” Fellow Bay Area rappers E-40Nef The Pharaoh, Mozzy, and IAMSU join Philthy Rich on the project, while Real N*ggas Back in $tyle also boasts collaborations with Young Dolph, Sauce Twinz,Young Scooter, Johnny Cinco, HoodRich Pablo Juan, Freeway, Paul Wall, and Jim Jones, with production from 808 Mafia, KC Da Beatmonster, and Zaytoven.

The video for “Feeling Rich Today” follows WorldStarHipHop premieres for the videos for “Way Before” and “Piss Codeine,” both produced by Zaytoven, and “Broke Boy,” featuring Young Dolph. In the lead up to Real N*ggas Back in $tyle, Philthy Rich shared a series of singles, starting with music videos for the IAMSU-assisted money-making anthem “Make A Living” and trunk-thumping Young Scooter collab “Buss Down (Right Now).” In honor of his long-time friend, Bay Area rapper The Jacka, Philthy Rich commemorated the prolific rapper on the one year anniversary of his passing alongside Paul Wall and Freeway with “King Jack,” which debuted via Noisey. Most recently, he teamed up with a “murderer’s row,” as Complex called it, of local talent with “Statue of Liberty,” featuring E-40, Nef The Pharaoh, and Ezale. Philthy Rich’s Real N*ggas Back In $tyle, the first in a series of three albums with the same title, is currently available for purchase at iTunes and streaming on Spotify.
