10-Time WNBA All-Star Sue Bird, ABC’s Holly Rowe To Sign 6-Year Old Eniyah Washington To WNBA All-Star Contract

Seattle, Wa, The Seattle Storm’s 10-time WNBA All-Star Sue Bird, and ABC sideline reporter Holly Rowe, will be presenting Eniyah Washington with a WNBA All- Star contract as an honorary member of the Western Conference team, through the Austen Everett Foundation.

Eniyah, also known as Niyah, was diagnosed on Nov. 3, 2016, at age 6 with Acute Lymphoblast Leukemia. Coming to the final stage of her intensive chemotherapy process, she will undergo maintenance for two years to ensure she stays in remission.

I am thrilled to welcome Eniyah to the Western Conference All-Star Team,” said Bird. “She brings a level of toughness, fight, and strength to our team; we are inspired by her journey and are honored to have her with us today.”

Founded by Seattle native Austen Everett in 2011, the Austen Everett Foundation works to inspire, empower and embolden the lives of hundreds of kids fighting cancer by Uniting the Fight of these extraordinary individuals with professional and collegiate athletic teams. The press conference will take place at 1:45 P.m. PT on Friday, July 21 at KeyArena.

 The All-Star Game, televised nationally by ABC and broadcast globally in more than 200 countries and territories, will take place on Saturday, July 22 (3:30 P.m. ET/12:30 P.m. PT) at KeyArena, home of the Seattle Storm.
