New ‘War for The Planet Of The Apes’ WETA featurette
Planet of the Apes (@ApesMovies) …this epic series has been running since I was a child; back when Charlton Heston and Linda Harrison were the faces we knew from the Tim Burton directed original, and the actors playing the various apes species were played by actors in heavy costumes. For the original tale, camera angles, directorial vision, and editors, were the make or break factors in creating blockbuster films. Within the current phase of digital evolution, people with way too much time on their hands and minds racing like 90 going north, have ushered in technology that dramatically changes the way things are done. WETA Digital is a collective of those folks and the newest version of the epic series “War For The Planet Of The Apes” is a magnificent showcase of what can be and is being done for the big screen! With an increasingly savvy audience, attention to detail with sharp, crisp visuals is a requirement to pass the test for even the oldest fans now…what with smart phones and all that jazz!!!

The apes level of sentience has developed throughout each film and so too has WETA Digital’s techniques and toolsets. SYNOPSIS
In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
