Paul Rosenberg Named As New CEO of Def Jam Records

Def Jam Records now has a new boss. Paul Rosenberg long time manager of Hip-Hop icon Eminem and co-founder of Shady Records has now been named the new CEO of Def Jam Records. Rosenberg who is also the head of Goliath Management currently manages artists like Eminem, Action Bronson and Shady Records newest signee Conway & Westside Gunn. Rosenberg will replace Steve Bartels as CEO who was the head guy of the label since 2013.

With this move, Rosenberg will add a second distribution deal to Shady Records with Def Jam on top of Interscope Records and his first act is signing the Buffalo NY Duo of Conway & Westside Gunn to Def Jam. Rosenberg with over 20 years of music industry knowledge as a lawyer and a manager should make an immediate impact within the label. Paul Rosenberg will take over the helm at Def Jam Records starting in January 2018 and will continue to manage Eminem and oversee Shady Records.
