Mipso Get – Out While You Can

North Carolina’s acclaimed indie-Americana darlings Mipso released a new single, “Get Out While You Can.” The track is a newly recorded and re-arranged version of “Get Out” from their 2013 debut album Dark Holler Pop. Currently finishing up an expansive North American fall tour, Mipso are preparing for a short run of shows in the band’s home region to celebrate the 5thanniversary of Dark Holler Pop. Mipso & Friends: Dark Holler Pop Revisited hosts five shows in North Carolina and Virginia and features very special guests during the run including 10 String Symphony, Chandler Holt (Chatham County Line), Lula Wiles, and Kate Rhudy. Additionally, Dark Holler Pop is now available for purchase on vinyl in conjunction with the 5th Anniversary Tour. Following the Dark Holler Pop Revisited Tour, Mipso head across the Atlantic for their first European tour, with extensive dates across Scandinavia in November and December. Returning to America in the New Year, Mipso can be seen supporting I’m With Her in February and early March 2019. See the complete list of Mipso’s North American tour dates below, with their full schedule of dates and tickets available at www.mipsomusic.com.

Describing the process of re-working and re-recording “Get Out While You Can,” Mipso’s Joseph Terrell explains, “We’ve made four albums over the past five years, and it feels like each one is set in stone in its final form just how we recorded it. But in-between all those records, we’ve lived on the road together, we’ve played hundreds and hundreds of shows and kept gradually changing month by month as a live band. It was refreshing to go into the studio with an older song because we got to flip the standard script—bring an old song back to life based on how we’ve seen it evolve on stage.”

Recently, Mipso unveiled videos from their live EP release, D.C. Sessions. Recorded and filmed at Hamilton Live in Washington D.C. this past spring, D.C. Sessions offers stripped down, acoustic renditions of three songs from Edges Run, their critically acclaimed 4th album. The videos were exclusively released to Mipso’s Spotify fans via a video Unlock campaign, where Mipso has over 2.4 million monthly listeners, with “People Change” receiving over 19 million streams since its release five months ago.
