lilbootycall – Bandaid

San Antonio rapper and artist Lilbootycall releases new track titled “Bandaid” and announces debut mixtape JESUS SAID RUN IT BACK, set for release June 21st via Warner Records. The project features Juicy J, GoldLink, Cuco, Kwe$t and NexXthursday. The news and song follow LBC’s recently released track and video for “Mariah,” which premiered on Adult Swim earlier this month. Lilbootycall has over 30 million streams across platforms and has been featured in The FADER, XXL, Noisey, Forbes, HYPEBEAST and more.

In LBC’s words, “Bandaid” tells how “buying materialistic things sometimes covers up the pain inside.” The track shows an introspective side to LBC, introducing another layer of nuance to his repertoire revealed on his forthcoming mixtape. “The project was named ‘JESUS SAID RUN IT BACK’ because it feels like compared to how I used to be, I was forgiven and given a new life with this music opportunity and Jesus was like, ‘Run it back,’ cause everybody deserves second chances and I feel like this is mine,” said LBC. It’s a one-way ticket into 11 tracks of unadulterated emotion wrapped in melodic, at times self-deprecating humor while sporting a diamond flooded Jesus-piece.

It’s all in the name. Lilbootycall is defined as a hero for the unsung and last resort amongst “friends” to hang out with when their first option wasn’t available. His fans love him for it and others exposed are quickly intrigued by his magnetic pop sensibility melded with the Houston, Texas classic Swishahouse-era influenced music. Check out “Bandaid” from JESUS SAID RUN IT BACK and stay tuned as he prepares to embark on a headlining tour this July!
