Melo & 88rising Release Born Like This
Chinese rap superstar Melo is gearing up to release his debut solo album and dropped the grunge-inspired video for the hard-hitting first single “Born Like This” on 88rising. Following solo albums from fellow Higher Brothers members KnowKnow and Masiwei, Melo sets himself apart with a grittier style and raw lyricism that he sharpened in China’s competitive battle rap scene. The Mamesjao-directed video for “Born Like This” was filmed at an abandoned construction site to reference Melo’s work in the construction industry before his chart-topping music career.
