Apollo Bebop drop astounding new album WANTED!

The Santa Ana jazz and hip-hop quintet Apollo Bebop are sounding feistier than ever in their newest LP Wanted! Described as an “act of defiance to the status quo” by the band, the release channels the bands key influencers including John Coltrane and A Tribe Called Quest.

The self-taught band never fails to disappoint, even when making mistakes, they learn and grow from those opportunities.  This is what makes the hip hop and jazz infusion so clean cut. The anticipation of the album has left listeners begging for the long awaited project from the quintet and it’s finally here.

The opening track, titled Dangerous (WATCH OUT!), is an eerie and hard-hitting offering, with cinematic brass and compelling lyricism.  The opening track kicks off a theme throughout the album, a theme of aggressiveness, where raw emotions are combined with the liveliness of the plethora of instruments involved in each track.

Tracks like ‘Where Am I Going With This?’ are heavy hitters with baselines so heavy that it’s just showing off.  One thing that makes this album stand out from the rest is the transition from intense beats and lyricism to chilled out transitions in a live setting to break up the album half way through.
