BTS of the Making of Pearl Jam’s Latest Video “Retrograde”
What do you do when you are in the middle of filming and the world stops for a pandemic? You shift gears, call in some specialists and continue to get the job done…at least that’s what Pearl Jam and team did for their latest video to the epic single “Retrograde”. In the wake of COVID-19, what would have been a live-action shoot became a mix of animation and motion capture that presents a chilling vision of Earth beset by climate change and includes a cameo by teenage activist Greta Thunberg. Animators from Vancouver, LA and London were brought onto the project to bring this concept to life.
