Yes Please Personify a Toxic Summer Romance on “Susie”

Yes Please is the collaborative project from production/artist duo apob and Matt Miggz. The pair began experimenting with making music together in school, fusing their contrasting sounds to create a rich musical hybrid.

Today, they dropped their latest release “Susie” – a beautiful emblem of this creative collaboration. The track sees the duo move into a more rock influenced sound, with apob citing these soft rhythms as the catalyst for his musical origins.

“‘Susie’ is the personification of the toxic ambiguity of summer romance that we feel most people can relate to and have experienced at some point” the pair explain.

Inspired by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Sublime and Operation Ivy on this release, the duo pull threads from this rich selection of influences to produce their dynamic soundscapes.

“Susie” is out now.
