Cosimo – “Best of Me”
Rising Seattle artist Cosimo brings his hazy and melodic new single, “Best of Me,” to life with a cinematic video that plays out like a romantic short indie film.
The video is handled entirely by the teams at Stacking Memories & ONE PERCENT SOUND (Cosimo’s label), and their direction keeps in line with the fuzzy, ‘80s-reminiscent sound of the track itself. It feels like you’re watching one of the pivotal moments from a burgeoning director’s break-out film, and it’s all set to a stunning piece of noise-pop from the lead actor himself, Cosimo.
The visuals arrive on the heels of the track’s release as a single this past August, and it’s picked up some momentum in the ensuing weeks. In addition to stacking up streaming numbers, it found a fitting home on Apple Music’s Sinister Sounds playlist. There’s definitely a darker, creeping vibe underneath the fuzz of “Best of Me,” but it can be easy to miss given how the track is an absolute earworm.
