H1GHR MUSIC Releases Label Compilation Album [H1GHR : BLUE TAPE]

H1GHR MUSIC continues to make their presence felt with the release of [H1GHR : BLUE TAPE], the final installment in their two-part label compilation album, ‘The New Chapter.’ The unconventional independent record label, founded by South Korean-American superstar Jay Park and home to Sik-K, pH-1, HAON, Woodie Gochild, Golden, BIG Naughty, TRADE L and more, remains steadfast in doing things incredibly different, yet exceptionally well. The two-week roll out was anchored by two 14-track projects, [H1GHR : RED TAPE] and [H1GHR : BLUE TAPE], and a copious amount of content, including official music videos for “The Purge,” “How We Rock,” and “Gotta Go.” Today’s release was accompanied by a rom-com meets Friends-inspired music video for “Oscar,” a melodic single that shows off the roster’s versatility, charisma and chemistry. Check out “Oscar” here, and stay tuned for visuals for the sunny “Me&Bae,” the vocally dynamic “Afternoon,” and the moving “Back From 0,” all are focus tracks for [H1GHR : BLUE TAPE]. The “Back From 0” video will feature submitted footage of fans’ happiest moments. In the meantime, listen to [H1GHR : BLUE TAPE] here and [H1GHR : RED TAPE] here

H1GHR MUSIC was founded in 2017 as a passion project for Jay Park with the purpose of shining a light on talented but undiscovered artists in his hometowns of Seattle and Seoul. “H1GHR MUSIC is my blood, sweat and tears,” Jay Park said. After working his way into the upper echelons of the music industry, both in the US where he signed to Jay-Z’s label, Roc Nation, and in South Korea, where he is a beloved household name, Jay Park has refocused his efforts into cultivating the next generation of stars. Jay Park’s knowledge of how to build a career from the ground up is second to none, having engineered his own success through the release of hit songs like “MOMMAE“ and “DRIVE,“ which together have nearly 100 million views on YouTube. He redefined the Korean hip-hop scene and ushered in the mainstream acceptance of the genre. To put out ‘The New Chapter’ is a feat in itself, Jay Park said, and demonstrated the label’s capabilities. “It made every person who is part of H1GHR MUSIC realize the synergy we can create when we do things as a team and the strength within it. Why we need each other and how we bring the best out of each other,” Jay Park said.
