Wallows Announce Their Upcoming EP “Remote” as MTV’s Global PUSH Artist for September

Wallows, the LA-based pop-rock group that consists of bandmates and friends Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston, is MTV’s new global PUSH artist for the month of September. The band opens up to MTV about their upcoming EP “Remote,” which is set to release on October 23, musical influences and how they were still able to remain productive and creative as a group while physically being apart during quarantine. Additionally, Wallows shares performances of their hit song “Are You Bored Yet?” and the summery new single “Nobody Gets Me (Like You)” exclusively for MTV PUSH.

On the process of writing new music while still being apart in quarantine:

Dylan: “It’s interesting because this moment right now where a lot of this is happening for us, just happens to be during the time of a pandemic, which is really strange. I think for that reason alone, it will be a moment we won’t forget for so many reasons. We did work on a lot of music while we’ve been stuck at home… So it’s sort of hard to really be able to comprehend this moment in time. But I think the moment I’m looking forward to most is when we can go back and play shows again and just see what it’s like. I’m just really excited.”

On advice for young people just getting into making music:

Cole: “Just don’t give up.”

Braeden: “Write as many songs as you can, always invest in music, listen to as much music as you can, get as many inspirations as you can and write as many songs as you can.”

Dylan: “Try your best to find people with similar interests as you… surround yourself with people who want to do the same thing and don’t stop. You never know what can happen.”

Throughout the month of September, MTV will roll out exclusive performances, interviews and personalized content leading up to the 2020 VMA’s to bring fans closer to Wallows across MTV’s on-air, digital and social platforms around the world.
