Engelbert Humperdinck On His New “Sentiments” EP, His First Ever Christmas Special & More

Known as the “King of Romance”, Engelbert Humperdinck recently celebrated 50 years in showbiz. Busy as ever, November 2020 brings a new EP from Humperdinck titled Sentiments, which features covers of classics by Elton John, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley and Charlie Chaplin. Meanwhile, December 12th brings Humperdinck’s very first Christmas special — he has 3 Christmas albums in his discography — which will be livestreamed on Looped at 12:00pm PT / 3:00pm ET. Humperdinck also keeps busy with Virtual VIP 1-on-1 Video Call visits and weekly YouTube vlogs.

Earlier this year, Engelbert Humperdinck did a successful Engelbert Live hour-long event online on July 23rd. Not too long before that, Humperdinck issued the tour EP Reflections, which included “You,” “Angel On My Shoulder” and a cover of Toby Keith’s “Don’t Let The Old Man In.” 2017 had brought the studio album The Man I Want To Be, while 2018 delivered the Christmas-themed Warmest Christmas Wishes. All the while, Humperdinck’s original record company Decca Records has issued a fancy 11-CD box-set comprised of Humperdinck’s first 11 albums recorded for the Decca label.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Engelbert Humperdinck for a second time — my initial discussion with the legendary vocalist was taped in-person in October 2018 and aired via the Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz podcast that year — on November 11, 2020, as embedded below. More on Humperdinck can be found online via www.engelbert.com, twitter.com/ehumperdinck, instagram.com/thisisengelberthumperdinck and facebook.com/OfficialEngelbertHumperdinck.
